MY HEARTIST by M

I sit in ponder of my beloved
So far, the distance kills the heart
I cannot vent
I am mad at him
Who gave him the authority?
To anger me and be angry at I
And with the distance
Assault to injury
It kills the heart
Yet my soul yearns for he
In love
In fight
In fury
In anger
In frustration…Still
I submit
Funny
That in these fiery times my insides burn most for him
I miss thee
I burn in anger and desire
So far
The distance kills the heart

I close my eyes
O my beloved is here
Staring at me
In my fiercest fumes
I want to burst…I want to charge…oh I should explode
And yet
Am halted
But how can I?
The exuberance of his charms won’t let me
Assuredly, he moves towards me
Am confused
My bosom heaves, uncontrollably, pleasurably
I miss you

His gaze fixates upon my eyes
Am bathed in calmness
His arms tightly but gently devour my body
I coil senselessly in submission
I totter in his intoxicating embrace
I blink
He lain me down, sunset reflecting in his eyes
The passion in them ignites my body, my desires
I want you

I tremble in his lips’ tender traces upon mine
Oh that…that I do miss, my heartist
The dexterity of your craftsmanship
Nay
Squirm not over spills and splurges of your shades on my surface
This canvas thirsts
Insatiable of your paint
Worry not of broken and of misplaced brushes
For the skills on thy digits is enviable

Alas! How they tickle
How they stir these nervous nerves
How they paint the corners and edges of this canvas’ curves
Your art on me is impeccable
When you work on this plane
Undesirables turn orgasmic

It is such
In breaking my heart
I would care less
You ponder why?
Well
Our fate, to be or not to be
Pieces of mine shattered heart form a mosaic of your face
Juxtaposition in thought
Of my love against your selfishness
Unfaithfulness
Disloyalty
Egotism
Anger
Disavowal

It don’t matter how far
Nor the distance
Every air you exhale
I feed my desire in its inhalation
Devoid of, I succumb

Nay
Its not obsession
Simply
The loves that burns for you
That the eloquence of words cannot quench
It refuses to die
Its destiny

For he know not the depths of my love
O reader,
If ye cometh across my beloved
Doth pass my word
That I deservedly declare
‘I am your canvas
Paint your love on me'

I received this poem from my girlfriend, so much I want to say about this piece. I wont, instead I'll say thank you, I am glad I am forgiven, loved and missed. I love you and I am honored you love me this much. I am yours; you are mine.

to my unborn son

I am writing this to you early enough
Before you see this sun
Before your feet are planted firmly on this African soil
I am writing this to you in your naivety
Before your enlightenment and entitlement; before your pride
I want you to know there is no substitute for hard work
No shortcut to success no quick buck
Do not believe in luck
Just work
My son,
Be smart and make better choices than your old man
Lies get you out of a tricky situation yet the truth avoids the situation altogether
Stand up for what you believe in
But believe in things that you can achieve and achieve most of what you believe
Your ideas and beliefs need not be sane just right
Believe in God, a supreme being; respect and trust His guidance
Ask for His help
Thank him
Anger is a weakness shun it
Humility is a gift embrace it
Learn to say sorry when you are wrong
Thank you when satisfied
Help me when you are lost
And nothing when you are right
Love yourself
Love your country
Love your woman
Definitely NOT in that order
Your woman comes first
Treat her as you would yourself
Talk to her kindly
Hold her passionately
And keep her happy constantly
If you don't someone else will
You will argue you will fight
NEVER hit your woman
They hate it, she will hate you
Don't just tell her you love her, show her
She will only stay for as long as she is interested so be interesting
If she still goes; learn live and love again.
Do not covet
Instead in contentment work for what you need
Learn to plan and prioritize
Drawing a line on needs and wants
It's what made your grandfather so great
Don't just spend to satisfy your urges
Make it a habit to save
And have something to give to someone else
In the end make your journey a story, how it will be read depends solely on you
This were just pointers from my path. The potholes that marred my past. Be great my son but remember being great is more than being rich. Much more

stains

Pony tails
Innocent
Buckled waist
Very chaste
Thoughts I'd want to erase
Of a beautiful mind corrupted with kin
A red stain on white sheets
A nightmare that will never cease
Of an innocence robbed with ease
Of a demon lurking within
Of a saint
a saint that never exists
When did it fit for a man to desire the fruit of his loins
Flesh of his flesh

I want to taste the world
To numb the pain of my past
I want to partake of passion: unbridled and fast
To crash my body beyond for my temple they already stole
On white heavy cotton sheets
When he held me by my pleats
And i smiled up at him and he smiled

Mum was away for the night
And he had plans for me
I was naive
But you should see me now
I have become the woman you made of me
You stole my temple from me
On those pretty white heavy cotton sheets
And i hope you could explain the stain

I wish you could feel my pain
When I am held up abused and tied to chains
It feels nice
But the joy melts like ice
And the dreams rule my nights

I forgave you father,
I washed of the stain from my heart
Soak your sheets,
Buy new sheets
But teach me how to look at you as a daughter would
for now I’m just a twelve year old woman in your eyes.

for the woman behind her man and the man taking it for granted

I know,
It’s enough to know there were happier times,
There were moments when the bridge burnt to ashes
Then the rebuilding up from scratches
There were times when the head just couldn't be held up high
And it was propped up by crutches
It was at times when the tides got so high
It looked as though the time was nigh
So I turned to mama and asked
What exactly did you do?
and she said it was then I realized just how much I loved your pa'

#iwantthat too

Often we take for granted the women that see past our masculine bullshit, those that know when we are blowing little else than hot air. We, as men, speak of equality but catch as dead practicing it. We are the victims of our own pride and more often end up in positions of boredom for all we have is a yes girl.

I am lucky to have been in relationships where I was challenged and my very belief on certain topics thrown down the gauntlet. I have come to appreciate a woman that sticks when the pocket grows thin and the things get thick. A woman that drives, pushes and even evokes hard work within and out of me.

I have learnt that even when all you think of doing, say you will do and plan to do matters, at the end of the day unless it’s done you earn little respect for yourself in her eyes. Primarily a woman can tell all about you in a matter of time and it won’t take long for her to figure you offer nothing more than just dreams. She has the fairytale already she needs to make it a reality with you. If she has to push you uphill and downhill again she is better off being the woman behind another man. Get your act right, I know I am getting mine.

Love Y'all

Happiness

I saw a child break free from her mother's grip
It was midday in the midst of a busy town
I heard the tires screech and saw the young one trip
Her mother let out an agonizing wail
He sprung to his feet and crossed the road
And was just across the street
He held his arm close by
Motioned for the cars to wait a while
And walked so slow you'd think t'was his style
The town stood still
And watched in awe
As a little boy's patience
And his little minds resilience
Held a grandpa's hand until they crossed the street
He might have cried as they parted bye
But all in attendance like grandy
Were happy
For  the little gesture with grand significance
