Thoughts on the Spirit

For purposes unbeknownst to me, there are six horsemen (mostly because I am trying to set a tone for this). This is an upgrade from the four horse men we are conditioned to understand and believe. The four were part of mythology and have been referenced in the bible (Ezekiel 14:21). The four horsemen are war, famine, conquest and death. My six horsemen are greed, lust, lies, pride, murder and theft. Not so far from six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him (Proverbs 6:16-19). The cardinal sins are fated to lead one to destruction. By the mere existence of man on earth, interaction with these sins is inevitable. No human is expected to be entirely pure yet we each are to strive to a perfection. A perfection that seems impossible to attain.

We each have opportunities to live and thrive in spite of being born in a sinful world with sinful nature. We are to engage and participate in the building of our nation at all times. However, even as one partakes in sin, they are expected to heed the call to conviction for it will. Believe me when I say it will come. It will find whether you are ready or not and when you hear the shepherd calling let your ears receive and listen. The call of conviction is from the Holy Spirit and it may be wrapped up in a veil of uncertainty but heed the call. The Spirit calms, convicts and directs you to seek the Lord (John 16:7-8). By the power of the Holy Spirit man is guided in their journey to salvation. All sin however burdening is lifted and handed to your helper (1st Corinthians 3:16).

The enemy uses guilt and shame to enslave you leaving you chained to whatever vice or character they wish you to play in their grand plan of ruling a world they did not create. There is a constant drumming at the back of the mind, of how unworthy we are to stand before God. This continuous din drives further from the truth of salvation. We constantly remind ourselves of our tainted past and in the same vein we seek to recreate our past transgressions as we believe no help is available. When we are chained to our transgression long enough, we get comfortable in the chains and lack the desire to pursue true freedom. The freedom of living for something other than ourselves. In our abyss of despair, the call from the Spirit seems faint and the Spirit man starves for lack of proper feeding.

While in sin the Spirit man underfed and underutilized. We call on help as a last resort to the Holy Spirit at the point we no longer believe we can get help for humankind. At this time the Spirit is simply a passenger in the body yet it exists to be the driver. The Spirit man is willing to take the fight against the flesh and will constantly send alerts even in its critical state. It will remind you to feed it by every caption of the word you “coincidentally” stumble upon. For every time that you hear the word and feel it speaks to you, that is your cue. Seek help (Romans 8:26-27). Every time you ignore the call it makes the Spirit man scrawny. When the chains are gripped tight enough you realize even the prayers you are making are like a dress up party a rehearsal for something that may not come. Listening to the word, reading the bible or even attending fellowship is merely a show. So that you can be seen not necessarily to work on your faith, or to seek the truth of salvation.

Now the body; the vessel carrying the soul, mind and spirit. Given that what we see from people is simply the sack of flesh and bones they carry around, it is harder to understand what others think. It is not hard however, to observe neatly dressed, well kempt, and even audacious meat sacks. We carry around our bodies. We feed them, wash them clean, we even drown them in different scents and oils. We love our bodies forgetting they may be ours but they were given to us. We are constantly talking, saying a lot more than we listen to. We are complaining, criticizing, gossiping. Every single utterance we make is noted and for that we will be judged (Mathew 12:36). What is the source of these sounds we make, when do you notice your tongue being held back? When do you notice your Spirit man calling you out from saying somethings? Or like most people I included do you speak first then think later? In addition, if you can see your Spirit cautioning you, can you see it in someone else? Do you know when people are asking for help?

I find it in the eyes. The eyes being the windows to the soul is not just a saying. Even when the mouth is agape in laughter, the eyes offer a glimpse into what the spirit is saying. Sometimes a hollow stare to a horizon far away is enough to realign you to what you really ought to be engaging in. It will alert the Spirit to spring into action. A moment in tears, eyes welled up and lips quivering may appear as pain to the body yet it could signal freedom from pain for the Spirit man. Look at the eyes. See what is shown by the meat sack, then look further and see what the Spirit reveals to you. It does require the discerning of the Spirit (1st Corinthians 2:14). A discerning spirit is not achieved by wishing or just manifesting. It requires a level of preparation, a decision to lose any and all preconceived perceptions of what is true an what is false.

Finally, complete belief and faith is necessary for the rebirth of you Spirit. This means total surrender; your creator is jealous and does not tolerate half measures (Exodus 34:14). We are but human, made from earth and having bad breath of life filled into us. We are the descendants of Adam and Eve the true scion of the first initiators and propagators of sin. You are a sinner, born in a sinful world how far can you run to escape your fate? The only summation I can think will fit is from (Psalms 137:7-12). You can’t run, but you are welcome to try.

believe and be satisfied

Every one longs to give themselves to completely someone,
To have a deep relationship with another
To be loved fully and exclusively,
But God says NO,
Not until you are satisfied and fulfilled
And content by being loved by me alone,
I love you my child,
And until you discover that only in me is your satisfaction to be found,
You will not be capable of the perfect human relationship that I have planned for you,
You will never be united with another until you are united with me,
Exclusive of any other desires and longings,
I want you to stop planning, stop wishing,
And allow me to give you the most thrilling relationship that exists,
One that you can’t even imagine,
I want you to have the best please allow me to bring it to you,
Keep watching me expecting the greatest things,
Keep experiencing the satisfaction that I am,
Keep learning & listening to the things I tell you,
Don’t be anxious,
Don’t worry,
Don’t look around the things others have gotten,
Or that I’ve given them
Don’t look at the things that you think that you want,
Just keep looking at me or you will miss what I want to show you,
And then when you are ready,
I will surprise you with the love far more wonderful that you will ever dream,
You see until you are ready, and until the one that I have for you is ready,
Who I am working with this very minute as I am working with you,
So to have both of you ready at the same time,
Until l you are both satisfied exclusively with me,
And the light have prepare for you,
You will not be prepared to experience the love that I have for you,
Based on your relationship with me,
And this is perfect love.
And dear one I want you to have the most wonderful love.
I want you to experience, a relationship with me,
And to enjoy the everlasting beauty and perfection in love that I offer,
Know that I Love you utterly I am your heavenly Father,
Believe and be satisfied.

see the bright side of things

I was going through my poetry
The earlier drafts
I hoped I could find something that says exactly how I feel,
I found a letter
I did not write it,
yet
It spoke to me

SEE THE BRIGHT SIDE OF THINGS

Date: TODAY
From: THE BOSS
Subject: YOURSELF
Reference: LIFE

I am God. Today I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help.
If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. All situations will be resolved, but in MY time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.
If you find yourself stuck in traffic; don’t despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.
Should you have a bad day at work; think of the man who has been out of work for years.
Should you despair over a relationships gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.
Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire situations, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children
Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.
Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.
Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what my purpose is? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.
Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them.
I love you, AND I WILL TURN YOUR SORROWS IN TO HAPPINESS.
Just know friend that I do things MY way. Take care and remember that you are not alone.

Eid Mubarak

In hijabs and niqabs
The Buibui donned with pride
And henna painted palms
In gowns and taqiyas
And beards combed out
A kaleidoscope
Of love, sharing and faith
A congregation of mu’mins
Children playing on the streets
Boisterous greetings of the men
Coy giggles and whispers among women
It is Idd again
Culmination of thirty days fast
Reminiscing of a near past
A celebration
A reflection
A marking of change in heart
A difference in path
It is the end of compulsory fast
But the beginning of personal quest
May you all find the treasure you seek
For today,
Revel in the feast
Eid-ul-fitr Al-Muslimeen
